I took advantage of the flat conditions today and launched the kayak from Indialantic. I immediately hooked up about 40yds from the beach. It looked like a backtip feeding frenzy on my poor bluefish with at least 3 medium size toothy mouths looking for an easy meal. I did get a nice five minute sleigh ride from the 5′ shark. The same story was repeated a dozen times even after paddling 1/4 mile down the beach. The victims varied from bluefish to ladyfish and at least one spanish. I ran out of lures to toss and headed home. The sharks are here, and provided a fun but not very fruitful outing.
