Felt like heavy spring winds all week and with 5′ seas the beach fishing was impossible but the jacks on the inlet were hungry as were a few snook and redfish. When the winds let up the tarpon showed up out deep with the bait schools. Mixed in were some jacks and some kingfish and small sharks. Bait was scattered but it was around. We struggled inshore this week with a slower bite but if you got out at first light there was some action if you could brave the winds and dodge thunderstorms. Looking forward to a calm week along the beach to get back into some kingfish, jacks shark and tarpon.
