Spent most of the week fishing inshore due to the high winds from this week’s front. The bite after the front started off slow but picked up as the weather warmed and water cleaned up a bit. Fishing south of the inlet through Wabasso was best with plenty of small snook, bluefish jacks and trout all on soft plastics. Fishing the docks and rocks has been productive for Sheepshead and snapper with live shrimp and the occasional pompano. Bite was best where you could find some cleaner water and a little bait action.
Beach fishing was blown out due to the huge winds and rough seas which also creates muddy conditions that can take several days or more to clean up once the winds and waves lay down. Looks like a decent week with light winds and good conditions to get out and find some decent action.
