The fish have schooled up with the cooler temperatures we’ve had which makes sight fishing these schools a blast! The cooler temps have created extremely crystal clear water which makes the fish a little spooky so use extreme stealth. The top baits for targeting redfish are a 3 to 4 inch swim bait, a live shrimp, imitation fly or soft plastic. Black drum will eat a shrimp, a crab fly or a well-placed live shrimp. Snook and mangrove snapper have been stacking up around the docks on the intercoastal waterway and we’re starting to get some pompano showing up too.
