seatrout mosquito lagooj

The heat has continued to be relentless this past week, but has not affected the bite at all. We have been having a steady bite from New Smyrna Beach south throughout the Mosquito Lagoon. Early starts and early finishes have been the key. Look for the bait hanging on the flats and shorelines and the fish will not be far. Plugs and spoons have been working early but live bait has been a little better bite. It looks like we have some possible weather working into Central Florida next week. If it does make its way, it may actually help to cool the temps down and continue the bite.
