An absolutely amazing week of perfect weather and perfect fishing. After seeing the storm pic you may not agree, lol. Cobia have been popping up regularly on the reef and a few of the local wrecks. Make sure you have some live bait and some chum. It’s just that time of year when the transition changes from kings only to a few more random species like cobia, blackfins, sails and a few random mauis. Capt. Jolee was on them hard this week and made for many memorable moments for all his customers.
Get out there early and do what you do. FYI, The spinning tackle we use are penn spinfisher 6500 with 50lb braid on it and a simple 50lb mono leader. Nothing special, I assure you. Oh, and for the “Maui only” lovers — we had 4 of them this week in 30 feet of water…
