What a great week! The summertime fishing is here and it’s wide open with many different species so bring the kids out and have a blast. Catching bait has not been a reliable thing, so make sure you bring a box of frozen minnows with you. If you see the flips, then try and get some bunker. If not, go fish. Don’t waste too much time on it.
Some days 8A reef is better than Pelican, 75/85 feet is a good depth to start. But that’s about all we have been fishing at. Nothing too deep, so don’t overthink anything! So many boats fly by to go deep and fish but it’s not needed right now. Use light tackle and enjoy the fishing.
