The first full week of June sets the tone for the summer. Tarpon will continue building along the beaches and in the river system — with snook now on catch-and-release only, silver kings become the premier inshore target. IRL bait levels are high and should keep redfish and trout active on early morning tides all week. Offshore out of Port Canaveral looks excellent as summer weather patterns deliver more calm-wind windows — watch mid-week for flat seas and plan your kingfish or bottom-fishing trip accordingly. Red snapper season discussions are ongoing; if it reopens this could be the best offshore week of the summer.
