📅 New Recreational Regulations Effective April 1, 2026:

Under the FWC’s new regional management rules for spotted seatrout in the Indian River Lagoon region:

Bag limit: 2 fish per person (unchanged).

Slot limit: 15 – 19 inches (unchanged).

Over-slot allowance: None — anglers may not keep any trout over 19 inches.

Open season: Jan. 1 – Oct. 31.

Closed season: Nov. 1 – Dec. 31 (same closed period as current rule).
