Excellent inshore and the nearshore is starting to show signs of life. Plenty of snook as well as a few trout, redfish and jacks. Topwater and soft plastics work well early and live bait is better once the sun comes up. Live pogies and greenies have been working best. DOA Cal paddle tails and jerk baits have been working well in the deeper water and Skitterwalks shallow early.
The beach has been fairly calm with the west winds but water is still pretty dirty from the beach renourishment, which makes it hard to see and the baitfish and predators don’t like it. Bait is showing up where there are a few clean pockets of water and the jacks have been roaming the nearshore waters. As the seas calm more and water cleans up the bait should get pretty thick and the predators will as well.
