snook fishing with Capt. Jim Ross

It’s September and you know what that means, the fall mullet run is kicking into high gear! Fingerling mullet showed up for the first time this past week and the predators that eat them are right on their tails. Tarpon, sharks, Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, bluefish, flounder, snook, redfish and a few others are what anglers can expect to catch over the next month while fishing outside on the beaches around Port Canaveral.

Snook season also just started on September 1st, so any fish that fits within the 28 to 32 inch slot limit will be able to come home and join you for dinner. The tarpon bite has been off the chain on most of our recent charters this past week. Our customers are usually hooking anywhere from 5 to 10 tarpon per trip. If you are looking to go catch them you need to get with us and book a trip. We’ve only got a few days open for the rest of this month. Let’s go out and catch your next Memory!
