The bite throughout the area backwaters continues to be good. With the reassuring fronts this past week, the fish have maintained their winter time patterns. We have had schools of black drum and redfish working the flats of Mosquito Lagoon along with numbers of trout and snook in the backwaters of New Smyrna Beach. This is definitely one of my favorite times of year to fish between the awesome weather and happy fish, it always makes for an enjoyable day on the water.
