This week the surf has cleared up and has been pretty flat. The schools of pompano have started making there way south. We are starting to see good numbers caught this week, but the big schools are still up North in the Flagler area. As the cold fronts move through the area it will get them on the move again. Live sandfleas, crab knuckles and fish bites have produced the best this week.
Along with the pompano, the bigger bluefish, Spanish mackerel, and bonnet heads have been caught also. Get out early and read the beach set up near run outs and fish multiple depths until you locate the schools and stick with them. If you’re targeting Spanish or bluefish, look for the schools of baitfish and stay mobile moving with the baitfish.
