The bite continues to be good throughout the backwaters of New Smyrna Beach and south into Mosquito Lagoon. The water level has lowered quite a bit bringing a lot of the fish out of the ditches and on to the flats into schools and small groups. We have been targeting black drum, redfish, snook and trout this past week and the weather has been great for it. Clear skies and clean water has produced the perfect storm of a bite. February is usually always a great month to sight fish and, by the looks of it, I do not think it’s going to disappoint this year as well as we have been on a great bite so far.
