The inshore bite around Sebastian is still pretty good, but the winds are keeping us off the beach for most of the week. It looks like more of the same weather ahead with north winds and rough seas, so expect beach fishing to remain a challenging until later in the week.
Fortunately, there’s plenty of good fishing opportunity inshore. Nice-sized snook, trout, jacks, and redfish are all eagerly eating live bait. We’ve been having some good times with ladyfish on artificials, too. The early summer trout are good size right now with several fish we have been catching in the mid to high 20″ range and snook from 20-35″ and some larger. Live bait is best but the artificial bite can be pretty good early!
