August has been a hot one both weather and bite. We are starting to get an influx of mullet moving off the beach and inshore which has been setting off some good bites. The fish have been in and around the bait pods. Look for the bait on the shallow flats early then moving to to the deeper water and intracoastal later in the morning. The redfish, trout, jacks and snook have all been taking advantage of the mullet pods. So live finger mullet have been working well along with shrimp and pin fish. The artificial bite on top water, twitch baits and spoons have been working as well. The weather looks to be good moving into next week so the bite should continue.
