Good morning all my fishing fans, this is going to be another short report, and not so good either, due to the bad weather we had all last week, and the weekend.

Not anybody out there fishing as the north jetty has been closed since Dec 14th due to the high winds and monster waves 10-12ft, and the south jetty also being impossible to get to with the waves washing up and over the rocks and deck area of it. Very dangerous on both sides. Also, the west side of the north park was closed as well due to the high-water level making fishing the rock shoreline treacherous. The only place to fish safely was the back of the inlet along the shoreline and the T-Dock area. About the only fish I heard being caught were some nice sheepshead, spot tail pins on sandfleas and cut shrimp. Before the weather moved in and made the water very dirty, it was clean enough on the south jetty, early morning incoming tide that there were some small snook, and some spotted weakfish and sheepshead being caught, but that was last Wednesday.

Until this weather settles back down, and the water cleans back up, don’t expect too much in a good bite anywhere. The good news is that you won’t miss out on anything because the jetty and walkway will be CLOSED ALL WEEK while the park installs new grates.

With that being said, I hope everyone has a great week! Also I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and a safe holiday! It’s almost here!
