Another week running the beaches with nice calm seas and a west wind. Bait has been scarce and so are the gamefish. We’ve been finding small schools of bait that have been holding some fish, all with schools of jacks and a few bonito here and there.
The inshore bite with the full moon has been good with snook, redfish, jacks and some tarpon on the menu. Live greenies, pilchards and pogoes have all be working inshore and they have been easy to come by. Inshore bite has been early due to the hot weather and water temps. Looks like we have more if the same weather next week so the action should be similar. Keep scanning the beaches for bait pods and inshore near the deeper shorelines holding bait for best success.
