Hunter got her first triple tail along with a couple black drum including a 36.8lb black drum on 4lb test (below) to get some points in the FSFA Club. Mom got one about the same size on 10lb and dad got a couple on 20lb tackle.
Had a pretty good week in the lagoon and also along the beaches (when we could get outside and the wind wasn’t too strong). Water temps warmed up in the lagoon and the fish were pretty active. Trout, Snkkk Shepherd and some black drum were on the menu. Plenty of Bluefish, Mackerel and jacks were biting on the beach with some sharks and tarpon mixed in. Tarpon didn’t want to eat at all but the jacks and blues did, along with a few tripletail. Inside we were able to get into some Black Drum. Found a few schools of bigger fish and they were pretty hungry. Live shrimp and artificial both worked well.
Looking forward to some light winds this week to see if we can get out on the beach and into some Sharks and Tarpon.
