These guys from New York had a blast sight fishing some big black drum and getting out on the beach for some Mackerel, Bluefish and jacks.
Good time fishing the beaches and inshore this week. Plenty of sharks, bluefish and big jacks — if you can find clean water. Live bait is the key but they can be enticed with artificial baits, as well.
The inshore bite has been pretty good with some baits coming back in the lagoon along the mangroves and back in some of the coves. Snook, trout, lady fish, jacks, and the occasional redfish have been following them in. We’re still finding some big black drum along the flats and in the ocean with some jacks and bluefish mixed in. Next week’s cold fronts may change the bite a little but the spring time bait runs have begun!
