It’s been a good week of fishing despite the winds and rain. Plenty of trout, some Snook and jacks, macs, bluefish and ladyfish have been active in the lagoon this week. Artificial baits have been the way to go so we can cover ground. We’ve primarily been focusing on the spoil islands, mangrove shorelines, and the clam lease. Here, we’ve been having the most luck on Storm 4” jerk baits and the ABOA Dart Spin on 1/4 and 3/8 ounce VMC jigheads. The inlet bite has been tough, but the water is cleaning up with a slight west wind and the bite should improve as the week progresses.
