Great week and perfect conditions. See what happens with great conditions… The fish turn on and make it easy. With storms being clockwork around 3pm the three quarter days have been a great option. We’ve been back at the docks by 2pm everyday, which has helped us avoid those storms. That time frame also gives us plenty of time to catch fish and clean them up.
Kings are back and chewing nicely. The boys have been picking at them nicely all week. Few studs in there, as well. Same old places. 8A and Pelican. Chicken rigging is working out great, too. Plenty of species coming up from the bottom. Squid and sardines and keeping them chewing.
Do not count on live bait at the moment, as it has been typically unpredictable. Some days it’s easy to find, other days it’s non-existent. Bring a box of frozen minnows just in case — they can be a day-saver!
Good luck and see you out there.
