George with nice flounder caught on a DOA jerkbait
It was a fun week fishing inshore and off the beach. Plenty of action off the beach with Mackerel, Pompano, Bluefish, Jacks and Sharks. When the winds are down its easy to run the beach and find the schools. Soft plastics from DOA have all been productive. Smaller baits have been the key for pompano while the bluefish and Mackerel eat anything as long as it flashes. Inshore bite is still pretty good with the warm waters. Plenty of Snook and trout with a few redfish and Flounder mixed in. Lets hope for some calmer weather to get off the beach and enjoy the action it has to offer.
