We had a pretty decent week of fishing nearshore and inshore around Sebastian Inlet. The inlet snook bite was pretty decent but most of the fish caught were under-sized. Pilchards and greenies have been the best bait!
The schools of jacks and Bonito are roaming the beaches and a popper is best bait for the big jacks. Bonito are hitting lil jon and ABOA Dart Spin on 3/8 ounce jighwads. Blacktip are along the beaches as well and large topwater lures have been working as well as live bait.
The inshore bite is pretty decent early mornings with trout and snook on artificial baits and live bait around docks and deeper mangrove shorelines. Sheephead have still been hot inshore, as well, with live shrimp. This week’s front should add to the bait we have in the lagoon and hopefully bring some more along the beaches.
