mosquito seatrout

The bite in the Mosquito Lagoon has been really good this past week with cooler temperatures and lower depths throughout the back waters. However, with the abnormal warmer weather moving in this week, it will change things up a little bit.

The forecast is showing the weather getting back to normal by mid-week. But, for now, the warmer conditions puts our fish into a different pattern; instead of them grouping up, they will actually split up and spread out making it a little harder to find the bite. With the upcoming weather conditions, look for the winds to shift and lower the water conditions even further yet, thereby bringing the fish back into pods. Look for these fish to be extremely shallow and ready to eat after the front moves through. Artificials and live bait will work best while being presented slowly.
