The schools of redfish and black drum have moved up into the shallow flats on sunny days and are crushing a live shrimp on a naked hook, or live shrimp on a jig head on the windier days. Snook have been eating soft plastics such as the Z-Man diesel minnow slowly rolled through their habitat. Offshore, the lane snapper and mangrove snapper bite has been very good with some upper teenage size fish being caught.
