We managed to dodge Hurricane Debby over here on the East Coast of Florida, but with that being said our thoughts and prayers are with our friends on the West Coast. The bite has been really good this past week but with the influx of wind and rain over the past few days I’m sure the fish are going to ready to chew with stirred up new food sources. Look for the redfish and trout to be hanging on the shallow grass flats mixed in with the bait fish. The snook and jacks have been working the deeper points and shorelines looking for an easy meal. A variety of live bait has been working well, like finger mullet, pin fish and select shrimp. Any of these in an artificial will work as well. The weather forecast looks to show a calming as this storm continues to move north away from FL so everything should be back to normal by the weeks end.
