Noah with his first Bonefish on our last vacation before school started.
I was in the Keys last week with my wife and grandson, Noah. We went snorkeling for lobster for the first time in my life (and Noah’s) and took him to catch some bonefish, too. What a great time we had!
Been fishing the beaches still. Water is crystal clear and the upwelling is upon us. When we can find bait, we can usually find tarpon, sharks, jacks and mackerel. The kingfish are finally starting to show up, as well. There are even some sailfish in close as my friend got one in 50’ on his way offshore. The main targets this week with the calm seas will be snook and tarpon off the beach and the typical bycatch will gonna be sharks, jacks and snook. Fishing the bait pods though can bring a number of species and we will be happy with any of them!

Jason wanted some snook and tarpon before he went back to school.
