We have had a little change in the weather over the past few days with some cooler dryer air moving in. With this cooler dryer air has brought a North / Northeast wind that has continued to raise the water levels in the New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon area. The fish are still around and continue to be mixed in with the bait, the only difference is with the influx of water they have spread out a bit. With the fish spread out a bit covering water has been the key to get bit. Targeting windward shorelines covered in bait has been working well and they have been receptive to both live and artificial baits. It looks like we have a little rain in our future and some returning warmer weather over the next week so enjoy the cool down while it’s here.
