The fishing has been great with the cold weather and low water. Redfish and black drum are schooling in the shallows and will readily eat soft plastics, shrimp tipped jigs or a naked hook with a shrimp and small split shot. Look for deeper edges on the colder days early in the morning for redfish, trout and black drum. You can find these fish on the eastward facing shorelines late morning sunning themselves. January can be some of the best fishing of the year. It’s a great time to book a charter by calling 386-295-5991!
