Scott and his boys came down from Iowa and caught some good fish along the beaches.
Had a great week off the beach with plenty of action from tarpon, sharks, mackerel and jacks. We’ve been getting a good bite on both live and artificial baits. Live greenies were the best bait for us and DOA baitbusters and DOA jerk baits worked well, also.
The Inlet bite has been hit or miss, but we’ve been getting a few big reds and snook on live bait. Anglers with big baits have had a lot of fun catching goliath grouper in the inlet, as well.
As the winds picked up, it has been too rough to fish the inlet and along the beaches, so the spoil islands have been the place to go. Live bait has been good for snook and trout as well as a few jacks. Looking forward to some calm weather so we can get back outside the inlet and capitalize on some big fish!
