We arrived about 11:30, and were told the bite was slow. I rigged 2 rods, 1 with a live shrimp on a fish finder and the second was a pompano rig with sand fleas.
About 12:15 the rods were bent, and a fish was lost and a pompano was in on the sand fleas!
About an hour later we landed a nice blue fish on mullet chunks.
Fantastic day, much needed beach therapy! Thanks for all the previous fishing reports, they were a huge help. As always, Whitey’s had sand fleas, and some good humor.
