Last week seems like a turn to the better for fishing with our warmer days. Took a trip down to Garcia and it turned out to be a good day for bites. Nothing of size to brag about, but these days, that doesn’t matter to me, just as long as I get bites and catch a few fish. The fish didn’t seem to want our top water offerings in the first spot we were at. We moved on to an area with 3 feet of water and scattered hydrilla.
We changed lures to my all-time favorite. I tied on a black back gold sided Yo Zuri 3 DS # 70 suspending jerk bait. This lure has a great back and forth action when twitch and pause is applied on the retrieval. We ended up with 39 fish in all. The area fished also showed lots of bedding activity as well. This full moon we will have at the end of this week along with warming temperatures just might put the bigger females on them. Looking forward to a fun week ahead!
