Another banner week here at Fired Up. Amazing weather and beautiful ocean conditions. This is normally a report written for June conditions but now just finally enjoying here in August. I swear this year has been trying, to say the least. From 25 knot winds for the first few months, to a few months of seaweed so bad you can’t fish a bait, to over $6 a gallon on fuel.. We are finally enjoying a weedless ocean and no wind with chewing fish. Despite the trying conditions thus far, I would say 95% of the customers have been pretty happy with everything. The captains really bust their ass every single day to bring home fish and a memory that will last. If you’re one of our customers reading this, We greatly appreciate you!
Kings this week have fired hard and so has the cobia. Normally I say you may catch a random cobia but this week it was almost a sure bet. They are just starting to free swim now on the reefs and if you catch a shark, fight it out as a cobia or 3 may be following it up.
