A big beautiful red will put a smile on your face every time!
The bite is still holding strong throughout the backwaters of New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon. We have been continuing to bring good numbers of trout and redfish boat side, along with the occasional snook that wants to cooperate. The bait pods have also been plentiful making for great targets early in the morning for a trout or redfish bite.
As the sun gets higher the bait has been moving a little deeper and the fish have been following. Targeting the pot holes in the deeper water has been working well with both artificial and live baits.
The extended forecast looks like we will be getting warmer weather along with the summer time afternoon showers.
