Brad and I went down to the Glades with Captain Shane Procell and put a hurtin’ on some really nice Peas. Thanks Capt for a great day!
Here is a quick fishing report so you can get out and catch some good fish this weekend.
At Headwaters we fished the north lake with Baby Torpedos (bullfrog and black). These things work great around hydrilla. If they get stuck give them a rip and they fish pretty weedless. You can fish them a little aggressive with a popping motion and then pause. We got a ton of action on them this week. We had several big fish this week on the Mike Bucca Bull Wake. I had 3 new guys throwing big swimbaits and they all connected with some solid fish on the Bull Wake. They absolutely crush these baits so beware you will be addicted if you catch fish on them.
I also caught some good fish in the north and south pit on the Junebug Red Ol monster mag worms. These baits worked at Stick Marsh and Garcia. Sunday we had 17.10 pounds in the Sunday tournament at Garcia on these baits. Had a couple on the Strike King Hybrid Hunter as well.
The punch bite was a little slow but we did mange a few decent fish flippin’ pads on the Bass Assassin Skunk Ape in Blueberry when we found patches of Pennywort.
Fishing will continue to get better as we transition into Fall.
