Lots of fishing days last week on three different bodies of water. 3 Forks, Garcia and Stick Marsh. The first of the three is still not fishing as well as it was last year at this same time period. Garcia was an eye opener as to how fast the anticipation of catching is ruined by pulling into the parking lot only to find one of the trailer wheels hanging on by a thread. A big shout out to Pat at Fellsmere Outdoors Adventures who “KNEW A Guy.” He came down to the parking lot and put a new hub on for us. By the time the fix was all over it was 11am. We could have just turned around and went home licking our wounds but the need for a bite was far more important to make our adventure worthwhile.

We did manage several bass but the area we fished last week turned out to have dirty water for some reason. We called it a day at about noon. Thursday I got to tag along with a friend to the Stick Marsh. We started the day with a heavy fog in the SW area ( The Nursery). The topwater bite still wasn’t what the fish wanted and anything we threw that was a moving type bait also gave us minimal bites. The fish wanted something dragged slowly on the bottom bumping the wood. We managed 20 fish but nothing big to brag about. It looks like the end of the month is closer to the next full moon for our much awaited spawning activity to bust open. Friday, I picked up my boat from being serviced. All in all a very busy week.
