Florida’s spiny lobster season is kicking off this week with the “mini” season on July 30 through 31 (Wednesday and Thursday of this week). Good luck if you’re one of one of the many heading south to fill bags this week. The daily limit is 12 per person (6 for Monroe County and Biscayne Nat’l Park) for lobsters with a carapace length of at least 3 inches.

There regular spiny lobster season picks up on August 6th, running through March 31, 2026.
