    Beach Bite

    August 29, 2022

What’s good my fellow fish slayers! Been a hot minute as I sold the Gheenoe and I’m in the looking phase. Hit up the beach mid afternoon with the family and decided to bring my rod and some gulp jerk baits on fathom jig heads in orange as the were the biggest I had.

      Strange Day

      June 6, 2021

Got out late and hit the Sebastian River as the winds again today were a bit heavy for my small love boat. Hit my first fish within seconds and was thinking today would be a great day for snook and reds. After the first snook, I must have thrown 400 casts. Nothing. Switched to live shrimp and started catching these fish between 6-14in. Hoping one of you can identify it. I also caught a smaller version of a fish I caught on my last outing, I’m also unclear of. Mango snapper were also in the mix non stop with the largest topping 15in. Fun day but not my kinda day if you follow. Hope you all slayed them this weekend.

        Preparing For Snook

        August 24, 2020

As we near the opening of snook season, I decided to test out some new grounds and see what kind of what was hiding where. Oddly enough, I don’t rarely keep the keeper snook I catch during season, but for some reason I feel better targeting them while they’re legal.

          Fishing is on Fire

          May 23, 2020

Hit the island houses early this morning around 4:30am. Lined up on the east side of the island and worked the dock with a top dog. Almost every cast got exploded on. Set a PB on trout with a solid 27.5ish. Hit a slam within an hour. Bait was getting crashed everywhere. Landed several slot to over slot snook, a few jacks, trout, and some nice keeper size reds. Top water, gold DOA shrimp with the rattle and tipped with shrimp fish bites landed the reds, snook on top, doa shrimp, and DOA white paddle tails.

            Inlet South

            May 10, 2020

Knowing that the ramps would be slammed, the spots would be pressured, and my time on the water was limited to a few hours, I decided to roll out without sleep at around 5:15am. Hit Jorgensons landing with 2 dozen shrimp, fiddlers, and my arsenal of artificials. Hit a few trout ranging from 12-18” on Yo-Zuri pencils, around the mangroves, but didn’t get my normal snook blowups.

              Struggled

              April 26, 2020

Got out early by my standards (6:45am) with the intention of working some new grounds off of Pineda Cwsy. The water was crystal clear and I could see a ton of sheeps head, mangroves, and […]
