The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is proposing new management regions for snook along with regional regulations based on the fishery status in each region.
At its May meeting, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) proposed new management regions and regulation changes for snook. The proposed new regions would allow the FWC to better capture local differences in the fishery.
Grouper Season starts May 1, running through the end of year in Atlantic federal waters. The aggregate bag limit is no more than a total of 3 grouper per person, per day.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is adopting a holistic management approach for snook that includes a review of several environmental and human factors including habitat, fishing effort and stakeholder feedback to evaluate the fishery at a more local scale.
