Cobia and Kings on Pelican
We only finished one day last week. The goal is to always try to catch live bait before heading offshore. Some days we do, some days we don’t.

We only finished one day last week. The goal is to always try to catch live bait before heading offshore. Some days we do, some days we don’t.
The kingfish have been on the reefs one day in good numbers and then the next day they’re not. It’s been kind of odd honestly. Pogies are showing up in the port, actually more into the bite but they are there.
We were able to get out on the ocean the last couple of days which has been great. The kingfish bite on 8A has been just fine using frozen minnows.
We only ran a couple of Shark trips this week. We just fished along the beach and our clients caught quite a variety of small sharks and one big tiger shark too, which was awesome!
We got to fish for red snapper last week as part of the EFP Snapper program. Needless to say everywhere we went we caught a red snapper of large size.
The few days that we were able to get offshore were very good. The kingfish bite was on fire and so was the bottom bite. There were plenty of lane snapper and triggerfish to go […]
The fishing has been good overall when we can get out. It looks like Thursday & Friday are going to cooperate this week for getting offshore. On the reefs the kingfish are here which is a great sign.
We only fished a few days this week till the winds blew up on us and it looks like they are here for a while. It’s normal for this time of year I guess though.
Mahi and sharks are the theme of the week. Actually we had more mahi than kings this week. The water out to 220′ has been an odd color of black. It’s actually black mixed with some brown in it, almost like Okeechobee Cyprus black.
What a great week we had, it was solid fishing every day. Kings and Cobia is what’s for dinner! Bait is located every day up in the corner, both bunker and mullet.
Even dinosaurs are getting in on the snapper action!
The Fired Up Charters crew just crushed it during the opening of Snapper Season out of Port Canaveral. Hitting snapper limits on every trip, but also some really nice bonus fish, too.
Lots of Big King action aboard the ???? Fire Fight with Capt Joe, showing an awesome group from Maine a good time and putting some stud Kings in the box.
Capt. Joe had a great day with clients aboard the Fired Up!
Another Stellar day aboard the ???? Fire Fight with Capt. Joe for this wwesome group catching Mahis, 4 Cobia, a Limit of 12 Kings and Baracuda.
Decent fishing last night on the Seas Fire! Been a while since we could fish so it was nice seeing them wanting to chew on our return to the sea.
Solid nearshore fishing from the Seas Fire boat. Handful of big bull reds are keeping the rods bent!
Guess what’s for dinner tonight?
Catching some nice dolphin with Fired Up Charters!
Red Snapper are biting like crazy!
