Hey everybody, it’s been a while since my last report, but I’m here and happy to say the fish are here — but it’s up to us to find them. Over the last few days that I’ve fished there’s a couple things I noticed that I’m going to point out.

Seaweed has cleared up a lot compared to the last few weeks with our strong winds, weather looks to be hot with small swell and offshore winds for the next few days. We’ve been having success targeting fish in the early hours around sunrise and in the afternoons as it seems the fish are going deep mid day.

What’s going on everybody it’s Rio over here at Eastside Surf fishing. Quick report for this week — surf Fishing conditions look to remain consistent. We’ve been casting at Pompano, Whiting, and lots of sharks out in the surf.

Hey, what’s going on everybody? It’s Rio from Eastside Surf Fishing. Pompano fishing continues as the weather remains good for these fish. We had a little bit of a bump last week with the blow/swell but the conditions look great for Pompano fishing this week Pompano we’re going to be looking for live, sand, fleas, live shrimp or life clams. However, if you can’t get your hands on these baits, it’s not a bad idea to try frozen.

Pompano season is here and there are lots of anglers who are ready to get into the bite. It’s been a very busy holiday season with work and making the most out of the time we have to fish is essential.

Can you feel it in the air? It’s coming! So, what does a cold front mean for surf fishing?

Surf fishing has been getting very active post-hurricane Ian. We’ve had a solid push of fall fish such as redfish and pompano showing up on the beaches and at the inlets. Though the water temperatures aren’t ideal just yet for chasing those silver slabs, don’t be fooled, they are out there.

The mullet are here and they are getting blasted by everything from tarpon, sharks, redfish, and of course, snook. The hardest part will be locating the bait and the predators, but once you do, try a big swim bait, a big spoon, or a big plug such as an x rap or a Yozuri crystal minnow. I have been having the most success using live bait around Sebastian inlet.

Hey everyone! Surfs up and the central Florida surf fishing bite has been tough. I have been hearing LOTS of seaweed from Canaveral down to Sebastian. I’ve tried to throw lures and put out set rigs but with the pounding surf and surmounting weeds fishing has been difficult to say the least.

We’ve officially entered our fall Snook season and the mullet are right on time with it. There are bait pods all over the central coast of Florida with lots of big predators following them. Seaweed has been thick in the Melbourne area, you will need lots of patience to keep clearing your lines of the thick red algae.
