One of 3 I caught that morning on a gold spoon. The guys who were fishing nearby laughed when I showed up with my ultralight rig and said I will not catch anything with "that thing". They were using 12 foot rods and heavy tackle. First cast I caught a 28 inch snook. When I caught the 2nd snook they were asking what I was using for bait. I failed to tell them the snook were right in front of me not halfway to England where they were casting. Gotta love it! HAHA

Transplanted here in 1980 (had lived here for 8 months in 74 when I was with a rock band playing guitar) and got "hooked" on snook fishing. I was a volunteer tagger for a snook study program in Brevard for 10 years for 2 biologists. I fish artificial lures only and all fish are released. I want to get back into saltwater fly fishing.
