I tried my hand out at surf fishing this past weekend. I have heard all about this mullet run so I had to try my luck. I went to Black Dog and picked up a dozen mullet and made my way to the surf. I had a sinker rig(I think) and hooked the mullet through the top lip. The waves were rough and it was hard to see if the mullet were around but I found this guy and it was a blast to catch. Most of the mullet came back with their back halve bit off, which I would guess were the work of more bluefish. I would love to try and catch a snook from the beach this season so if anyone has any tips, I am all ears! I do have a cast net but I am still learning where to even find mullet.
