If your bait looks like a shad or anything similar I feel sorry for you ???????? The bass are feeding up on fingerling shad and other forage. Soft plastic jerkbaits are another hot bait to have tied on. Swim jigs casted around lily pads are another area I would be fishing near. Areas in pockets , coves and canals are places that bass will eventually make there beds for the spawn. Casting a trick worm or a senko is always a top producer here on The Harris Chain in watermelon red or a june bug.
