A CENTRAL FLORIDA FISHING REPORT EVERY TUESDAY
This guy SNAPS! Capt. Jesse Austin of Going Coastal Charters has been crushing the snapper using Salty Tongue baits from Native Salt Clam.
IN THIS WEEK’S REPORT…
OHHH SNAP!
Tired of hearing about red snapper yet? If so, you better buckle in, because we got a whopping 3 more days of THE SNAPPENING still ahead this weekend. And if you’re planning on going out for it, prepare accordingly. At Jetty Park, the line at the boat ramp was so treacherous, people were firing distress beacons from their trailered boats 7 miles inshore. Not even a Sea Tow Membership could save these poor souls (it wouldn’t hurt, though!). Many entered the dreaded line, less made it into the water, and even fewer made it back home. Where are these lost boats and their crews now? Some say that an enormous convergence of salt air and ethanol rose up and swallowed them, while reanimating their spirits as a school of countless red snapper — and that they will now forever stalk and taunt anglers who are trying to catch other species of fish during periods in which red snapper harvesting is strictly prohibited. According to legend, the curse will not be broken until the governing bodies that regulate the fishery institute a red snapper season that is practical and reasonable in both bag limit and duration…
For real, if you haven’t seen the video from Sunrise Marina, check out the anxiety-inducing clip below:
No kidding, guys — this is exactly why keeping your boat at Sunrise Marina is worth every penny. It’s like trying the express pass at Disney World. Once you’ve had the experience of gleefully skipping past the masses of miserable and sweaty park-goers to enjoy the ride without hassle or delay, it’s impossible to go back to being a normal pleb suffering in an endless line among them. It means spending a little more money, but this is one thing for which you can always find room in your budget (“honestly, honey, are these kids really college material?”). Find out more about Sunrise Marina boat storage here!
Snooking Forward
For the anglers that don’t stray far from shore, look alive, because you’re on deck — we got snook season coming up in just two short weeks. Woohoo!

WEATHER OVERVIEW: With projected SSE winds at 10-12 MPH throughout the week you can expect many fishing opportunities available for you. The big news is this past weekend’s red snapper season. It was pretty epic as expected. Let’s just say there are a few out there. This weekend should also provide good weather for us to get out and catch one of these beauties to bring home for dinner.

FEATURED STORY
GET CLAMMY, GET FISHY
NATIVE SALT CLAM BAITS
When was the last time you had a fellow fisherman introduce you to a new product that actually worked? Think about it for a minute — when was the last time someone said “hey, put this on your hook and I bet you will catch a fish,” and it actually produced for you? It’s probably been a while, right? Well, I just had that “once in a blue moon” occurrence, and boy was I impressed…
