winter park bass fishing

Reporting from the Winter Park Chain of Lakes — I know the past couple of weeks have been rough with the East Wind blowing hard! Don’t let that discourage you, it only makes the bite better! Bait fish will ball up tighter together and follow the wind patterns as they track down (their food source) microscopic plankton. I set my boat up on a wind blow point in the deepest water and target eel grass beds using a variety of techniques with carolina rigs and swim jigs being the most effect. We caught over 30 fish and some Big mamas using this method. Make sure you get an early start!
