Since the sweet-water contributor add, I have a sweet-water fishing report.
The weather was good enough to take the new paddle board out. I went out on a local lake on Saturday morning. The word of the day is beds, beds, beds. Holy Moley, there’s fish on beds everywhere.
Paddling around the lake, I see beds everywhere … and more importantly, fish on them. If you like the sweet-water, now is the time to pick them off … like fish in a barrel.
Here’s a pic of one of the ones I got on the paddle-board.
Nice greeny! Where about are you fishing? I never got into freshwater much, probably because I’ve lived here all my life. The diversity in species and size just keeps me more interested in salt, but I gotta give it another whirl.
A local lake, in Orlando.
I can see why you didn’t get into freshwater, I probably would have done the same.
Up until a year or so ago, I didn’t saltwater fish much. Now it’s the opposite, don’t freshwater fish much- even though I live across the street from a lake. I’d rather drive an hour or more to get to the coast and chase the variety that can be had … or chased anyhow- don’t always come back a winner.
