Got out late and hit the Sebastian River as the winds again today were a bit heavy for my small love boat. Hit my first fish within seconds and was thinking today would be a great day for snook and reds. After the first snook, I must have thrown 400 casts. Nothing. Switched to live shrimp and started catching these fish between 6-14in. Hoping one of you can identify it. I also caught a smaller version of a fish I caught on my last outing, I’m also unclear of. Mango snapper were also in the mix non stop with the largest topping 15in. Fun day but not my kinda day if you follow. Hope you all slayed them this weekend.

Looks like a mayan cichlid. They can tolerate a wide range of salinities so it wouldn’t be too shocking to find one in the Sebastian River.
