snook fishing

We’ve had a really good fall time bite along the Space Coast for the last two months. Snook have been the star of the show during most of these trips. This week we have a tropical feature that will impact our area for two to three days and this is probably going to change what we catch and where we are catching it. We will still be able to catch snook as well as redfish, tripletail, jack, pompano, bluefish, whiting and other species along the coast, but the bite will probably slow a bit because the water will get stirred up and make it harder for these fish to find your baits and lures. Once the waters along the coast and in our lagoons start to clear a bit we should go right back to catching really good numbers of fish.

On days between cold fronts we may experience exceptional fishing action like we have had earlier in the fall. On the day of the front and most likely the day or two after it, the bite will slow considerably. Bull reds will most likely become our focus on our near-coastal trips, and a mixed bag of trout, redfish, black drum, and snook will be our target species in the lagoons. The weather is getting really nice with cooler temps and less bugs so if you’re looking to get out and have some fun on the water give us a call at 321-505-8217 or book your trip with Captain Jim or Captain Justin on our website’s reservations page at Fineline Fishing Charters. We look forward to getting you out to catch your next memory.
